In my New Year’s post a couple weeks ago, I said I was planning to bring out Going Home, the third part of the Mendocino series, this month.

That’s on track, with a couple of minor touches (like changing the copyright year) coming ahead of a release this weekend. No pre-order, no Patreon teasers, just the book going up over the weekend if all goes well. As always, free with Kindle Unlimited subscription, $2.99 for a standalone purchase.

The cover will follow the older patterns, and I’ll work on replacing all four covers in my newer style later this year, as well as compiling an omnibus and paperback release.

“Majesty of Defeat,” my medieval romance, is about done as well. It’s on the schedule for the weekend after “Going Home.” There is a brief teaser on Patreon, and I’ll put something else up for a few days by this weekend.

In Majesty, a young man sets off to find his way in the world, and a young woman with the weight of a nation on her supple shoulders meets him in unexpected conditions.

This story, like so many others I’ve written, was meant to be a standalone, but over 28,000 words in and I am not done yet. I will probably be starting the second part next week, with Davian getting used to his new role and his expanded family. The unexpected discovery at the end of Majesty warrants some research, and there are some laws to change.

It looks like this one will become a harem story in the next volume, although as Majesty closes, Davian has two new lovers in the wings. They’ve already seen him naked, but they haven’t done anything about it, and his new bride has made it clear that he should.

On the other side of month’s end, I have a new succubus accountant tale (monoromance, one demoness, one mortal man), a bartender slice of life menage that could expand into a series, a couple of short romantic slices on the California coast I love so much, and three novels from 2024 to polish.

I hope this will be as exciting for you, my dear readers, as it is for me. And your ratings and reviews on Amazon and Goodreads help me get the word out more and encourage more stories to come out.
