Happy 2025, everyone.
As you may have noticed, I’ve let the blog go for much of 2024, but I haven’t given up on writing. In fact, I’ve made obscene progress on a couple dozen projects, but alas, nothing quite wrapped up as the past year wrapped up.
That being said, I have about 15 shorter works on the way to the editing stage, as well as a couple of much longer works (including about 60,000 words on a new novel that sprang into being on November 1st).
My priority for January is to wrap up the Mendocino series, which had its prequel come out in December 2023, and two of three parts of the main series in early 2024. I wrote a wedding scene over the holiday break, and a honeymoon as well, and it’s probably going to be out in two or three weeks, along with new covers for the entire series. And a paperback omnibus? It’s in the works.
With 2024 being the year of word count and idea development, 2025 will be the year of condensing those words and ideas into stories and books you can read.
I will still keep writing new content, but I’m not in as much of a dire need to write a huge amount this year. The goal is at least one publication a month, preferably two. And based on last year’s work, I just might even be able to get something out every week. But probably not.
With the new year comes a new Patreon, which until a couple of days ago was disclaimed on my Finding Marklin page here on the site. Visit Marklin Foster, Writer | Patreon to support me there and get snippets, teasers, and early chapters in the books coming up.
As always, all of my works are on Amazon Kindle and Kindle Unlimited*, and Goodreads as well. If you need a free trial to KU, here you go.
I appreciate your support as always, whether it’s reading my books, rating and reviewing them on Amazon and Goodreads, sharing with a friend or a Discord server or another forum. Want to see more of something? Your ratings and reviews will help me prioritize, or you can leave comments here on the blog.
Have a great 2025, and you’ll be hearing from me more this year than last.
*I originally said one of my earliest publications wasn’t in KU, but I rediscovered recently that it is.
