I guess it’s been almost a month since I posted new material. You can read my last published story, Somewhere In The World, free with Kindle Unlimited or for the usual price for outright purchase.
Since then, I’ve put about 43,000 words on the leaderboard across eight stories. I broke off of the sysadmin novel and started the second volume, which is now about halfway done.
I started another time-shifting possibly-isekai definitely-harem short story that, between a long walk and a late night voice recorder moment, seems to have turned into another novella series. It began with the main character waking up to three nearly-identical women (somewhat like the image on this post) ready to take care of him, and beyond them moving into a house in the style of the British TV series The Prisoner or Marilyn Foxworthy’s Shards of Separation in a sense (you have to live somewhere), I didn’t know where the story was going. But now I have five complications to consider.
I really want to get these longer works moving, but I have to be patient, and I like to have fresh content for my readers at least once a month, preferably more frequently. So with that in mind…
I’m expecting to have two shorts done in the next week, and through design and edit before Memorial Day. Memorial Day 2024, in case you were wondering.
I’m still going to be working on Network Effect, possibly publishing volume one once I finish volume two and get started on the third and maybe final volume of the story for a late summer release. I’m going to continue pushing forward with structure and writing on what I’m calling Retinue, and I’ll probably put some time into outlining and cleaning up Triple Treat, which I’ve told you about before on these pages.
There are still four stories from 2017 taunting me, especially as I try to remember (or find misplaced drafts to show) how the two series they were building into concluded. There’s also the pornstar romance, and a standalone Las Vegas short with some precarious, but pretty hot, drunk women in an elevator lobby, and a few other stories I’ve let drift for a while.
And then there’s a few drafts to pull out of the 2000s and review, see if they’re worth cleaning up, or possibly pulling shorts out of, or both.
So there’s no shortage of material, it’s just a question of getting it into a form I think is worth your time and money.
As always, you can read my posted stories on my Amazon author profile. I recommend the Kindle Unlimited subscription (which includes almost all of my work and millions of other stories, books, and magazines), although I also welcome outright purchase of the ebooks. Try out KU for a month for free at this link.
And as always, as noted several places on the site, Amazon links on this post are affiliate links, meaning I may get a commission on purchases through these links at no extra cost to you.
